Keeping Contact
Crew
Having worked on a few films made by the AUB film production course i have a few contacts who i could approach about making my idea come to life.
Conor Chalk is a 2nd year Cinematographer who along side with some other students in his class set up a studio called Core Films Uk. I approached him with my idea and he really liked it. He thought it had potential and was excited to try something experimental and different from the types of things he usually has to do on his course, which is a lot of narrative work. He then put together a crew for my project, most of whom are part of Core Films. I have added a link to their website below.
After the first production meeting with Conor and Billy, we decided it would be best to have some original music with the film so that we could ditribute the film after it was made. He put me in touch with Jonathon Deering, who they had worked with previously on one of their films in first year. Conor said that he would be perfect for this project and that he is really talented.
I approached him over facebook and sent him a message about the project. Below are the messages. Then i put together a small slide show of the film to send him so he would understand more about the project. (Also images of this below).
I met up with Conor first and we spoke about inspiration for thids project and he showed me some fashion films from Ranking Films that are on my "Filming Inspiration" Page. He is keen to make the film have a real fashion edge rather than so raw and campaign like. Which i think is a really good idea because i want the makeup to be represented beautifully. And have the earth look pretty and vulnerable.
Conor then put together this quick powerput to keep all out ideas together and show the rest of the crew.
