Lastly just before the final application I have to test the colour of the veins next to the Panel in the head prosthetic now that it has been run. The colour of it is a lot darker than I had thought it would be, and does not match the research and testing I had done before. I believe that if I pursue this colour it would not look natural. So I will stick with what I have already done.

Although above I have the veins how I think they should look, I still want to incorporate the fat piece prosthetics I made into the arm makeup. In the first test, I tested this piece but it was more on the side of the arm, I liked the prosthetic just not the placement, I liked the way I could paint really subtly with the vein tone in the dips and cracks of the memory board, but it still looked like skin. I think the photo in Fig. 28.14 looks better than in Fig. 28.15. The paint job is subtler. And I really think it is coming from beneath. Although it is not a final image only a test I believe it this photo could be used in my portfolio ad the edges are really invisible and it is unedited and the veins look realistic.

In addition to the head prosthetic and the veins, I do want to include some prosthetics and tumours on the wrists.

The first thing I tried was sculpting a vein prosthetic to go over the wrist. I ran it is silicone and applied it for a test, Generally I copied the veins in my wrist and added a robotic twist to them.

The application can be seen in Fig. 28.2. I like the effect of the veins, but the problem I have with it is the wrinkles the piece has because of the cap plastic and the size of the prosthetic, because it is very thin, the cap plastic wrinkles a lot. And if it is only to add really subtle veins on the wrist I do not think that it is worth it. It should be better if it is just painted on rather than using prosthetic piece at all.

Fig. 28.4 shows how I want the left hand to be positioned in the photograph. I kind of have this idea of the veins and the tumours coming from the phone and spreading to the arms. I think to make this more succsessfull I have to do the paint right to the palm.

Below shows the photo of the early paint jobs I did. Since these I have perfected the colour. But for this test I used Silicone pigments to paint on the veins over the top of the prosthetic. But it doesn't look how I want it to, and since I have decided to use the prosthetic I will abandon this idea.

The tumour prosthetics, I do want to use them on the hands, but I have some issues, a lot of the ones around the wrist and hand were hard to stick and the edges were raising, this is because of the movement in this part. But a way to fix this would be to use Telesis in stead of pros-aide and also just take more car on application, don't put them so close to the joints in the wrist.

Also The prosthetics on the lower arm are not right, I think they need to be more on the sides of the arms, rather than the centre to create a silhouette shape rather than in the middle.

Above is a rough idea of how I want to incorporate both of the hands into the photo.

Below are a few Photoshop designs, that I have messed around with the silhouettes and veins.

I think i prefer the white background to the black background as it shows off the phone better, and also my favourite design is the last one in Fig. 28.11.

I like the robotic veins on these the most and also how the tumours accumulate around the hand more than lower in the arm.

I just wanted to do one more practice of the cyborg veins since I feel I have not got it right yet. So I did some sketches below and then a final photo of watercolour test on my arm. I believe I have the right design now. And this is finally what I think it would look like (colour not taken into account, just shape) of what cyborg veins would be like, so I just need to incorporate this into a final design.
